Sad Tom & The Noodles bring a refreshing blend of indie, modern, and alt-rock—where heartfelt storytelling meets playful, high-vibe sound. Their music dives into the full spectrum of human experience, capturing both the weight of big feelings and the beauty of everyday moments… all without taking themselves too seriously.

This is the kind of show where you’ll laugh, reflect, and find yourself moving to melodies that feel both nostalgic and brand new.

About the Bands

Originally dubbed “Sad Tom” for his introspective songwriting, frontman Tom Knoll and his band leaned into contrast—adding “The Noodles” as a lighthearted twist that reflects their carefree spirit.

Because sometimes, the best way to hold deep emotions… is with a little humor.

The band features:

  • Tom Knoll (Vocals)

  • Caleb Howes (Guitar)

  • Rob Larkin (Drums)

  • Shiloh Taetz (Bass)

  • Robin Despres (Keys)

Since the release of their debut EP Aquaphobia (2020), they’ve continued to build momentum with their standout single “I Don’t Mind” (2023), followed by their 2024 EP Here I Am—solidifying their place as a rising force in the indie scene.

Rise Overrun

Rise Overrun is an indie pop/rock band representing the next wave of Western Canadian talent—born from a mix of university connections, high school friendships, and the occasional bizarre online encounter.

Blending sharp songwriting with playful self-awareness, the band is made up of Berklee dropouts, overly sensitive men, tech nerds, and self-proclaimed “nerd nerds”—with more guitars than you can handle.

Collectively, they’ve performed across Canada and around the world, bringing their energetic, emotionally charged sound to stages of all sizes.

Now stepping into a new era with a fresh identity and a catalogue of original music, Rise Overrun is ready to connect with new audiences and get their songs into eager ears.
